Melbourne Port Phillip Bay

Having already leaves on the ground in Europe i was, after a hot inbetween stopp in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, finally reaching spring time on the other side of the world.

Nice considering that at home days were getting shorter. I was arriving after a 9 hours economy flight in Melbourne and got a pick up from Todd my contact at company V-Sport having 1 bike in the car and one on the roof. It took us about 1 hour from the airport to the hotel, checking in, changing clothes and jumping on the bikes.

We choosed the route riding directly from the hotel on the east side of Port Phillip Bay heading south. The sun was out in town changing to clouds and quite chilly temparatures going more and more south. But riding along a coast always is nice. As we had strong head wind first half it was difficult for me after that long flight but we worked together in changing in the front and could do a nice average. As we came closer again to Melbourne also the sun came back and we had a great outlook from the pier onto the beautiful city. In the evening we both enjoyed a good steak and after a long day i was happy to return to the hotel to sleep like a stone.
