CXing Boise - Idaho

Heading out to Boise in Idaho for a distributors inhouse exhibition gave us as a sales team the chance to do a bit of team building in taking some time for a CX loop.

We had a successful show in introducing SP Connect to all of the sales team which was pretty much to speak having 176 sales reps in 36 groups. Nevertheless as the show was over and we had teared down our booth we had some time left for the day. Having our bicycle guy Brian as a national sales manager in the team for 3 months already, Nate our sales rep was pretty new.

As Nate is not a real bicycle guy we decided to rent some gravel bikes for Brian and me and a e-bike for Nate which pretty much did fit from the performance level.

In general it must be a great area to ride around Boise a fast growing city. We decided to make it not too tough and left the city eastside riding on nice bike paths and along a river to Lucky Peak State Recreation Area. Center of it an artificial lake with a big dam on the Boise side.

As the ride there was a bit too short we were looking for an experience and leaving tarmac hitting sometimes very loose gravel. The routing on Komoot showed me though a path climbing quite a bit onto the hill just in front of us. But being on top turned our ride into the fun part of it doing a nice long downhill on gravel roads again back towards Boise again.

Unfortunately Brian had a puncture at the rear tire and so the ride home became a bit more complicated and we had to do an additional stopp at a bike shop. Luckily the could help and we returned save and still at light to enjoy our dinner tigether after that great team building ride.
