Up and Down in "Wienerwald" to Laaben im Walde

August 30th, 2019

Going hilly, gaining high meters in climbs - if this is the target then Wienerwald is an ideal terrain. This one starting with Hochroterd as the first climb fits if you have wind from the west as you can hide in going in this direction first. After "kleiner Semmering" you do a nice descent with some switchbacks to Pressbaum reaching right after it a pretty cool climb of 9k to Hochstraß, the highest point of the loop. A highspeed downhill is ending in Altlengbach turning then into a nice road to Laaben im Walde. This is also the turning point and again the start for a nice climb. Reaching the top - Forsthof - there is a nice long constant descent until Alland where the backwind counts in doing speed. Still some time to ride the climb to Dörfl and then to Schwarzensee are nice ones to reach a training effect. Three more little humps passing Heiligenkreuz lead down the way through Einöde. Up and down through nature...
