Taipei - high percentage

Taipei Cycle Show was again the main reason to come back to Taiwan. As for me Taipei and surroundings are a cool spot to ride a bike, i also this time tried to catch a ride after a meeting. At "my" Giant store i did reserve a bike ahead and so it was quite easy this time to get one.

As the store is close to the bike path at Tamsui River its trhe ideal start for a ride. As long you stay closer to the city everything is flat, but just leaving a bit you will hit big climbs in regard to percentage. So this time at Xinbeitou to Mt. Jian and so i was doing the approx 1000 altitude on just 20k. Means as well that there is always nice lookouts to the city with it´s landmark, the tower Taipei 101. After Mt Jian one more climp up to Chinese Culture University and then steep down hitting a nice path to follow again the route of Tamsui River back to the Giant store enjoying the sunset have a beer or three.
