Airport Sky Lane - flat like a pancake

It was my travel from Thailand to Malaysia when i had time to do a ride waiting for my flight. In Bangkok we attended Asean Bike Show with SP Connect and after days of standing on a not very satisfying exhibition i needed to do some exercise.

Around Suvarnabhumi Airport they built a 24k bike path to offer a save solution riding a bike in bangkok. As my flight was early evening i had no stress and started about 9.30am arriving at the entrance area of the location. I couldn´t believe how many cars were there and furtheron walking in with all my laguage i saw a lot of riders but having already finished their training.

The Sky Lane opens at 5.30am and offers a 24k loop called healthy bike land and a smaller one for beginners. The lane itself is devided into 2 colored stripes and taking the violet one you need to be over 30 km/h speed. Starting my first loop at 32 degrees and high humidity i understood why they all already finished their activity. Quite fast i sweated but on the other hand i had my freedom on the almost empty path. So doing 3 loops hitting hundreds of strava segments with thousands of riders in - i found myself somewhere in the middle of the ranking. I guess in austria on a hilly loop i would be better as this one with 28m altitude was flat like a pancake.
