sevenCoulored Earth

One more ride before leaving this beautiful island i choosed the mountains again. Le Morne, Baie du Cap, Chamarel, Black River Gorges National Park and Grand Bassin. But step by step...

Touching the big rock mountain on peninsula Le Morne i this time stopped at the hairpin road at Baie du Cap to do a nice pic from the rock. From there the direct uphill road through a nice tropical jungle i reached Chamarel. A gorgeous place with it´s waterfall and seven coulored earth coming from vulcanos material with different sediments. A little stopp at the Chamarel Rummery to come to power again a last climb into Black River Gorges National Park with it´s incredible lookout and monkeys.

As in this week the Mahashivratri festival in honour of god Shiva took place i choosed the route to Grand Bassin. Three days Hindis walk there with their sculptures to touch the water in the holy lake. It did cost me a lot of speed because of traffic but the experience was great.

Finally a short shower and a chill ride back home to Flic en Flac rounded up this most beautiful tour of the 2 weeks being in Mauritius.
