eastEnd "Trou d´Eau Douce"

For my east end tour i decided to start at the airport and so i took a taxi early morning. The full ride is basicly also ok, but temperatures for long hours would have been too much that day.

Right after the start i was quite lucky as a van was hitting me in a round about but i could stay on the bike without crash. Riding a bit more sensible regarding traffic i headed to Mahebourg and from there furtheron on a nice road again directly at the coast line.

Goal was to reach the most eastern point on Mauritius and so i had to go until Trou d´Eua Douce. As from there also the most beautiful beaches showed up i was lucky to have the chance to ride this with my bike.

From there i still went further to Belle Mare to afterwards start my crossover back to the west coast. Nice sugar cane fields and little towns were leading my way. Riding more in the center of the island makes it also a bit more hot as you miss the breeze from the sea. Reaching Beau Bassin - Rose Hill and Quatre Bornes let me know that from there i will have a nice descent back to Flic en Flac. Riding a street through the town which i did already before, i knew a nice Strave segment i could go for KOM - and did. So now i´m proud owner of this KOM on Mauritius ;-)

With a sour Radler at my favourite bar i did celebrate that.
